What's Inside the Guide

Step-by-step Itineraries

Dear White Mountain Wanderers ,

Hello, fellow adventurers!

I’ve been visiting the White Mountains of New Hampshire my entire life. Over the years, I’ve eaten, drank, and explored my way through this beautiful area. I’ve come here as a child, as an adult, with children, and even brought middle schoolers on hiking field trips. This place inspired my love of travel and adventure, which led me to start my travel blog: Pragmatic Travelers.

Rather than making you sift through endless posts or fall into social media clickbait traps, I’ve compiled all my years of experience into one spot—so you can easily navigate the best of the White Mountains for yourself and your family.

This guide is perfect for those seeking the top experiences the White Mountains have to offer but without the challenging hikes like the 4,000-footers. (I don't have as much experience with the more challenging hikes.) If you’re interested in easy hikes, moderate nature adventures, family-friendly fun, and great food recommendations (with a clear warning to steer clear of Muddy Moose), this is the guide for you. Every recommendation here is something I’ve personally done and would suggest to others—I never recommend anything I haven’t experienced firsthand. That’s why I can confidently say this is the ultimate guide to the area (minus those super challenging hikes!).

I’m so excited for you to explore this amazing place, and I hope this guide helps reduce the stress of planning while inspiring you to love the White Mountains as much as I do.

Thank you so much for checking out this guide! Feel free to share your experiences with me @pragmatictravelers.

Happy travels!
